Fitness 19, a full-service gym at 16051 Dessau Road, Pflugerville, closed in mid-September without notice after eight years, leaving customers and the landlord with locked doors and a note.

The note, taped to the front door, read “Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to close this location.” It directed patrons to the nearby Planet Fitness, 2700 W. Pecan, which will honor the Fitness 19 memberships and begin billing customers.

One of the owners of the building said there is interest in the space and he’s had discussions with Realtors and plenty of Fitness 19 customers surprised by the closing.
