A new hotel called Tru by Hilton is under construction in Northwest Austin at 11603 Jollyville Road, Austin.

Lodgic Hospitality, which is building several hotels in the Northwest Austin area, started demolition of existing buildings on the site July 10 and completed the underground plumbing and electrical work, said Andy Patel, an asset manager and investor with Lodgic Hospitality. The hotel has an expected opening date of summer 2020, he said.

Crews began pouring concrete for the foundation in late August, Patel said.

The new hotel will have 124 rooms as well as a breakfast area, a fitness center, a communal gaming area and an outdoor patio with lounge seating. https://www.hilton.com/en/tru/
