On May 9, Pinballz Lake Creek opened its new 7D Dark Ride Theater that provides movie-themed interactive experiences for riders. Each rider is equipped with a light gun to fight off zombies, werewolves, robot cowboys and other enemies. The motion-simulated ride holds eight players who compete for the highest score.

Pinballz CEO Darren Spohn said in a news release that the new feature is a combination of an amusement park ride, interactive video game and immersive movie experience.

“We continually improve our game lineup to offer our guests a unique combination of every social gaming experience—from old-school classic arcades and pinball machines to the newest cutting-edge games and entertainment," he said. "This month we’re elevating the level of excitement exponentially with the debut of Austin’s first XD Dark Ride. It’s an experience that traditionally could only be found in the world’s largest theme parks."

Pinballz Lake Creek is located at 13729 Research Blvd., Austin, and includes a full bar at Mikki’s Tavern & Wine Bar.
