Austin-based Amplify Credit Union celebrated the opening of its new flagship location March 2 at 2800 Esperanza Crossing, Austin. Located near The Domain, the 9,000-square-foot branch includes full Amplify member services, a drive-thru and an ATM. The new location also features a community room available for public use.

Amplify started in 1967 as IBM Texas Employees Federal Credit Union. In 2006, the member-owned financial cooperative opened its membership to anyone living, working or attending school in Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop and Caldwell counties.

The expansion, which boosted Amplify’s membership to more than 55,000, provided some of the drive to build a new flagship branch, according to Willie Everett, chair of Amplify’s board of directors.

In addition to the new opening, Amplify plans to relocate its branch in Cedar Park and renovate a branch in the La Frontera Village in Round Rock.
