Whole Foods Market has finished remodeling its Gateway store, located at 9607 Research Blvd., Austin, and is hosting a celebration May 18-19. New features include a self-service pizza station; a bread hearth wall; a hot bar that is four times larger than its previous size and includes house-smoked meat; a salad bar and toppings station; a new bulk food section; grab-and-go hot rotisserie chickens; and a wine department with 60 new sparkling wine options. The Gateway store also is stocked with 800 new products, according to Whole Foods officials. A remodel celebration of the new features takes place May 18-19. On Friday, shoppers can take advantage of 10 percent off purchases of $75 or more.
