Apple Inc. is relocating its Domain store this Saturday, Nov. 11 to a brand-new space in
Domain Northside.
The new store opens at 10 a.m. at 3121 Palm Way, Austin, near the Archer Hotel Austin. An Apple spokesperson confirmed Wednesday that the original Domain 1 location at 11410 Century Oaks Terrace, Austin, will close Friday.
The Domain Northside store features Apple's new store design the company unveiled last spring. The design focuses on transparency and openness, and Apple aims to have stores blend in with the community, according to Apple.
Features of the new store include a video wall with modular seating for customers to take Today at Apple sessions and learn about Apple products and programs, such as photography and music making.
Apple also plans to have avenues or wall displays that change seasonally to highlight different items, such as gaming, children's programs, home products and demonstrations.
