UPDATED Oct. 31
The founders of a Houston-based chain of Mexican restaurants open a new cantina and bar concept at 5 p.m. Oct. 31 at Domain Northside, 3121 Palm Way, Austin.
Cyclone Anaya's Tex-Mex Cantina focuses on made-from-scratch Tex-Mex favorites, such as Texas Loaded Queso with jalapenos, Tacos Al Carbon and Carne Asada. Cyclone Anaya's, named after the late professional wrestler, also offers a breakfast and brunch menu Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During the first week, the restaurant is operating on limited hours. Through Nov. 6, all food and the first two alcoholic drinks will be offered free of charge, but patrons are encouraged to instead donate the cost of their meal to the Rebuild Texas Fund that raises money for Hurricane Harvey Relief.
