Virtual reality game debuts at Pinballz Lake Creek in Northwest Austin

Austin-based virtual reality gaming company Virtuix selected Pinballz Lake Creek, located at 13729 Research Blvd., Austin, for the worldwide debut of its VR ARENA attraction, according to a March 21 press release.

VR ARENA is a four-person game that features walking platforms, allowing players to safely walk, run and interact with the game inside a virtual reality environment. Players can select competitive matches, co-operative games and nonviolent games for children from the VR ARENA at Pinballz Lake Creek.



According to a Pinballz press release, the VR ARENA game generated revenues of $6,500 through a total of 510 guests in its first week of operation.

The installation of VR ARENA is part of a larger expansion of Pinballz Lake Creek that includes a 32-person laser tag arena, bumper cars, go-karts, a new prize center, a second bar and a corporate meeting room. Pinballz Lake Creek is hosting a grand opening for the expansion April 27.
