Pluckers Wing Bar announced in April that it will open its sixth Austin location in mixed-use shopping center The Linc, which is slated to open in summer 2017 at 6406 N. I-35, Austin. The sports bar specializes in wings served with a choice of more than 20 homemade sauces. Austin Film Society, a nonprofit arts organization founded by filmmaker Richard Linklater, also announced plans to open a two-screen art house cinema at The Linc. The venue will temporarily be named AFS Cinema, and after extensive renovations it will reopen with new branding and a full bar and cafe service in early 2017. www.pluckers.com, www.austinfilm.org
