Republic Kitchen + Bar coming to Leander

Co-owner Ryan Wolslager said he's going to bring some "Texas-sized fun" to his newest restaurant venture.

Republic Kitchen + Bar is scheduled to open at 15609 Ronald Reagan Blvd., Ste. A100, Leander—the space formerly occupied by Da-fan Club Bar & Grill—by Nov. 6, according to Wolslager.

He and his brother, Trey, opened their first restaurant, Foxhole Culinary Tavern, in North Austin in 2013. Wolslager said Republic will "offer more everyday food and not be as culinary-driven."

Republic will also feature indoor and outdoor games. Some of the games—such as a 5-foot-tall Jenga tower— will be "Texas-sized," he said. The patio will have multiple TVs for sports watching and large community tables.

"It's a true neighborhood bar and grill where friends and family can feel comfortable and have a good time," he said.

Wolslager said the Republic's website, www.therepublickitchen.com, and the business's phone are not yet up and running. In the meantime, he said future customers can get updates and answers on Republic's Facebook page. www.facebook.com/therepublickitchen
