The W.D. Kelley Foundation has awarded a $20,000 grant to the Georgetown Public Library and has given Library Director Eric Lashley the 2018 W. D. Kelley Leadership Award, which honors community nonprofit leaders, according to a foundation announcement. The W.D. Kelley Foundation was founded in 1997 to support innovation in leadership or education. Since its creation, the foundation has awarded more than $6 million to nonprofits, primarily in the Georgetown area. The Georgetown library received a previous foundation grant to buy art-exhibit panels. http://wdkelleyfoundation.org/
