Academy Sports + Outdoors will open a new store this fall in the future Bluebonnet Plaza retail center planned at 1320 W. University Ave., Georgetown. Academy stores sell sports and recreation equipment as well as outdoor gear and apparel.

The Georgetown location will offer services such as scope mounting, bore sighting, propane exchange, and hunting and fishing license sales, according to a news release. The company anticipates the store will bring about 60 new jobs to Georgetown. www.academy.com
