Georgetown Rail Equipment Co., 111 Cooperative Way, Ste. 400, Georgetown, gave $10,000 in early November to employees who served in the military to use for donations to charities that support veterans. Eleven charities were selected to receive donations, including the Fisher House Foundation, the Gary Sinise Foundation, Operation Homefront and the Wounded Warrior Project. Up to 12 percent of the combined workforce at Georgetown Rail and SENSR, its structural monitoring sister company, is made up of military veterans, according to a news release. www.georgetownrail.com
