Sumptuary, a rentable restaurant space where Austin chefs and cooks can experiment with new ideas, launched a crowdfunding campaign Jan. 3.

The space will open at 3202 Anderson Lane, Ste. 205, Austin, once the fundraising goal has been reached.

"We would like to open by June 1," founding partner and Sumptuary general manager T. Marshall Jones said.

Any restaurateur from fine dining chefs to food truck owners are welcome at Sumptuary, at which a new menu will be featured every night.

The space will also be available to public and charitable organizations to use for private events, tastings and more.

In addition to Jones, Sumptuary's founding partners include Foo Swasdee, Michael Shefman, Gary McIntosh and Harry Pope.
