Steven Covin, the interim principal of Lanier Early College High School, has been named the school's permanent principal. The 15-year Lanier employee was approved as the school’s principal by trustees May 20.

"I'm extremely honored to have been named the Principal of Lanier Early College High School," Covin said in a news release from the district. "It is my privilege to have the opportunity to lead the amazing Viking community that I have proudly been a part of for the past 15 years."
