The Caring Place celebrates the recent expansion of The Boutique—which is located in the nonprofit’s thrift store The Shops at The Caring Place, 2000 Railroad Ave., Georgetown—with a jewelry show from noon-3 p.m. on May 2. The Boutique sells jewelry, clothing, purses and accessories. The Caring Place also operates Second Helping at 3700 Williams Drive, Georgetown. Sales from the thrift stores cover operating expenses for the nonprofit that helps community members afford basic needs, including assistance with food, utilities, rent, transportation and medical services. 512-943-0700.
