The Louisiana-based chicken finger brand held a ribbon cutting and grand opening event Dec. 11 at 1188 N. I-35, New Braunfels. The restaurant is known for its One Love chicken finger meals and secret-recipe Cane's sauce. “I’ve lived in New Braunfels for 10 years and can’t tell you how excited we are to have a Raising Cane’s to call our own,” General Manager Chad Lewitzke said in a statement. “We’ve assembled an amazing crew, and the new restaurant is in a great location at Walnut [Street] and I-35. We are proud supporters of Canyon High School and New Braunfels High School, and we’re looking forward to getting even more involved with schools and other organizations in the area. We can’t wait to become an integral part of the community.” Raising Cane’s also emphasizes a commitment to active involvement in local communities. On Nov. 28, Lewitzke and his fellow crew members volunteered their time with the New Braunfels Food Bank. “We had a lot of fun helping stock shelves, assist guests and unload trucks,” Lewitzke said in a statement. “We are extremely fortunate to have such an amazing food bank in New Braunfels and are honored to have had the opportunity to volunteer with them for our pre-opening service project.” New Braunfels’ Raising Cane’s location is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m.-11 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-midnight. The New Braunfels store will be the 138th Raising Cane’s in Texas and 413th systemwide.
