Residents in the western portion of Liberty Hill will now have fire and emergency services closer to home with Fire Station No. 3 breaking ground in March.
“As Liberty Hill grows and the [Williamson County Emergency Service District No. 4] grows, we’re trying to cover our district the best we can,” Liberty Hill Fire Chief Anthony Lincoln said during the March 7 groundbreaking ceremony.
The approach
Planning for Fire Station No. 3 began nearly four years ago when the fire department first purchased the property, Lincoln said. The new station has been under design for the last year.
