As of noon on Feb. 23, all Water District 10 customers remain under a boil water advisory after one of the six water samples taken Feb. 22 did not pass lab testing, per a WD 10 update.
The boil water advisory went into effect Feb. 17 following Texas’ unprecedented winter storm, Uri. Last week, WD 10 experienced a power outage at its McConnell pump station on Spiller Lane in West Lake Hills as well as water breaks—both of which have since been resolved.
According to an update from WD 10, the district will conduct additional flushing in the failing region and will resubmit the sample. Results are expected in the afternoon on Feb. 24, the update stated.
Despite the test results, WD 10’s distribution system is functioning at normal levels. The district confirmed water tank levels have been restored, and supply has outpaced demand.
