Local fire departments to hold fire mitigation town hall May 8

Local Emergency Services District 14, 4 and 6, along with Travis County commissioners Ann Howard and Brigid Shea, will host an informational town hall meeting on fire mitigation at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on May 8 at 6:30 p.m.

The overview

Topics discussed during the meeting will include wildfire preparedness and fire mitigation. A panel discussion with county officials and wildfire experts will be followed by an audience Q&A, after which attendees are welcomed to explore informational booths and resource tables.

The town hall will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, located at 10205 N. RM 620, Austin, in the Holtman Hall Parish Activity Center. The event will also be streamed online.
