Lake Travis ISD will hold a community event to raise awareness around human trafficking.
What’s happening?
The district is hosting a human trafficking awareness event in conjunction with the cities of Lakeway and Bee Cave, and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services on Jan. 11 from 6-7 p.m. at the Lake Travis ISD Educational Development Center. The event falls during National Human Trafficking Prevention Month on National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, also known as Wear Blue Day.
The event is intended to inform parents and community members of warning signs and ways to protect their children from human trafficking, said Marco Alvarado, LTISD executive director of communications and community relations.
