Humble City Council approved nearly $489,000 in equipment for the Humble Police Department—including radios, live cameras and vehicles—during the Oct. 24 council meeting.

According to Oct. 24 meeting documents and city officials, the purchases include:
- About $184,300 for dash-mount mobile radios, portable digital radios, remote speaker microphones, extension cables, chargers and batteries
- $110,911 for two vehicles
- $103,750 for a live-action camera contract
- $89,997 for a system that would help air support track suspects being pursued by police
“I'm confident this can have real impact,” Humble Mayor Norman Funderburk said during the meeting.
