Key information Lake Houston-area voters should know before the May 26 primary runoff elections

Early voting has kicked off for the May 26 primary runoff elections, with more than 40 early voting centers open in Harris County.

At the polls

Early voting centers in Harris County will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. through May 22, according to Harris County's elections website. Election day voting will be held from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. May 26.

Voters must vote in the county where they are registered. Harris County voters can go to any one of the county’s 48 different voting centers for early voting, according to Harris County’s election website. On election day, voters can visit any one of the county’s 164 voting centers.

Early voting centers around the Lake Houston area include:

• Octavia Fields Branch Library: 1503 S. Houston Ave., Humble
• San Jacinto College Generation Park: 13455 Lockwood Road, Houston
• Kingwood Community Center: 4102 Rustic Woods Drive, Kingwood

The May 26 primary runoff election will include statewide elections, such as:

• U.S. senator (Republican)
• Lieutenant governor (Democrat)
• Attorney general (Republican and Democrat)
• Railroad commissioner (Republican)

• Harris County district clerk (Democrat)
• Harris County judge (Republican and Democrat)
