There will be 22 new voting precincts in Tarrant County, spanning Fort Worth, Haslet and Mansfield. It was approved by the Tarrant County Commissioners in a meeting on May 2. The change was one of the last official actions by former election administrator Heider Garcia.
The overview
The county is complying with Texas Election Code, according to documents, that splits a voting precinct if it has more than 5,000 registered voters. The election administration identified 22 boundary changes to accommodate population growth for the 2024 elections.
Both the Republican and Democratic party heads agreed with the change, according to documents.
