Voters will choose between Republican candidate Alan Blaylock and Democratic candidate Ericka Lomick for the Texas House District 93 vacancy this Nov. 3 election.
The details
According to the Texas Secretary of State website, House District 93 is part of the general election and is a special election, meaning it will be on the ballot twice. Attempts for clarification from the Texas Secretary of State and the Tarrant County Election Administration office about the ballot order were unanswered.
An Aug. 20 proclamation from Gov. Greg Abbott states the winner of the special election will fulfill the remaining term of Nate Schatzline, who resigned last year to join President Donald Trump’s National Faith Advisory Board, according to previous reporting. He has since been appointed as a senior advisor to Abbott, according to a news release.
