Chris Jamieson won the race for the Fort Worth City Council District 10 seat.
According to the unofficial voting totals released on the websites of Tarrant, Denton, and Wise counties' election offices, he has won by 76 points.
He secured 1,836 votes, or 51.06% of the votes. Ortiz garnered 1,760 votes, or 48.94%.
Ortiz surpassed Jamieson in votes in Tarrant County, 1,609 to 1,597. However, Jamieson won in Denton County.

According to the unofficial early voting totals released on the websites of Tarrant, Denton, and Wise counties' election offices, he has secured 1,781 votes, or 51.12% of the votes tallied so far.
Ortiz has garnered 1,703 votes, or 48.88%.
In the latest update from Tarrant County, Ortiz surpassed Jamieson in votes there. However, Jamieson holds the advantage in Denton County. Both counties still have precincts left to report election day totals.

According to the unofficial early voting totals released on the websites of Tarrant, Denton, and Wise counties' election offices, he has secured 1,115 votes, or 50.09% of the votes tallied so far.
Ortiz has garnered 1,111 votes, or 49.91%.
The details
The winner will replace Alan Blaylock, who is running for Texas House District 93. Blaylock had been on the council since 2022, starting at District 4, but shifted after redistricting the following year.
Ortiz and Jameison are business owners, according to previous reporting. Ortiz has previous experience as the district director under former council member Cary Moon.
