A north Fort Worth data center and multifamily development in Frisco are two of many new projects filed recently with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Here are five of the most expensive permits filed with TDLR in the past week.
1. Grupo ACS Fort Worth campus data center
A Spanish infrastructure company is constructing a two-story data center in north Fort Worth, according to a TDLR filing. The center will be located on a 77-acre site near Hicks Field Road, according to city documents, and is estimated to be a $2.1 billion investment. Construction for the facility is estimated to take nearly two years.

2. Roanoke Hotel and Convention CenterRoanoke will have a new five-story hotel with a parking garage, restaurant, lobby, bar and lounge, market and outdoor pool, according to a TDLR filing. Roanoke City Council hired a general contracting firm to bid out the project for construction cost in February, per previous reporting. Construction is estimated to take a little less than two years.

3. Hall Park B3 MultifamilyA 191,096-square-foot multifamily facility will be constructed above a two-story parking garage, according to a TDLR filing. Hall Park is in the process of a mixed-use multifamily project with office towers, a hotel, park and a residential tower, per previous reporting. Construction of the B3 facility is estimated to be completed in a little over a year and a half.

4. Arhaus Furniture store in FriscoA new Arhaus Furniture store will be constructed along Wentwood Avenue in Frisco, according to a TDLR filing. There are currently three other Arhaus locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including in Fort Worth, Dallas and Grapevine. Construction is estimated to start in early 2027 and take less than a year to complete.

5. Cook Children’s Dodson Levels 2 & 3 refresh and 5 North Main Tower renovationA tower at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth will receive new flooring, doors, casework, paint, headwall and plumbing fixture updates, according to a TDLR filing. Its Dodson Specialties Clinic building is receiving new flooring, paint, lighting, wall protection and wall-mounted sinks. The medical center is in the process of a 10-year plan to meet the city’s growth, per previous reporting. Both the refresh and renovations are estimated to be completed by this fall.
