PowerHouse Church to launch free community clinic in north Katy

PowerHouse Church has partnered with Christ Clinic, a health care assistance nonprofit, to launch 2535 PowerHouse Clinic, a free health clinic in the Katy community, according to an Aug. 27 news release.

The details

The clinic will offer walk-in services on the second and fourth Saturday from 9 a.m.-noon for services, including:

• Sick visits
• Screenings
• Preventative care
• Chronic disease management

Community members are eligible to seek medical assistance regardless of age, income or insurance status, according to the release.

What's in a name

"The 2535 Initiative foundation resides in Matthew 25:35, in which Jesus’ instructs His disciples those who are part of the kingdom of God have fed, watered, invited, clothes, cared for and visited the “least of these” were as though they had cared for the Son of God Himself," the release said.

What else?

The clinic is also seeking volunteers to assist with the clinics, including doctors, nurse practitioners and medical assistants, according to its website.
