The Harris County Toll Road Authority has announced a total closure of the Tomball Tollway main lanes and the Grand Parkway eastbound main lanes from 7 a.m. Oct. 1 to 5 a.m. Oct. 2.

The northbound and southbound Tomball Tollway main lanes between Boudreaux Road and the Grand Parkway will be closed, according to the HCTRA, as well as the eastbound Grand Parkway main lanes from the Rocky Road exit to the Boudreaux Road exit.

In addition, the entrance ramps to the Tomball Tollway from Northpointe and Holderrieth Road, traveling northbound and southbound, respectively, will be closed.

To detour around the closure, northbound drivers on the Tomball Tollway can take the frontage road at the Boudreaux Road exit and re-enter the tollway using the Grand Parkway entrance ramp. Southbound drivers on the Tomball Tollway will be detoured to the frontage road at the Grand Parkway exist and can re-enter using the Northpointe entrance ramp, according to the HCTRA.

On the Grand Parkway, eastbound drivers can detour to the frontage road at Boudreaux Road, turn right onto the Hwy. 249 southbound frontage road, turn left onto Boudreaux Road and continue onto the the northbound Hwy. 249 frontage road to take the eastbound Grand Parkway frontage road.

The weekend closure comes as construction continues on the remaining two direct connectors between the tolled lanes of Hwy. 249—on the Tomball Tollway—and the Grand Parkway. The first two connectors opened in July, Community Impact reported.
