The Harris County Toll Road Authority has announced a total closure of the northbound and southbound lanes on the Tomball Tollway—the tolled portion of Hwy. 249—near the Grand Parkway from 9 p.m. Aug. 19 to 5 a.m. Aug. 22.
The closure is scheduled as construction continues on the direct connectors linking the Grand Parkway and the Tomball Tollway in Tomball, two connectors of which opened in mid-July.
The closure includes the northbound main lanes of the Tomball Tollway between the Boudreaux Road exit ramp and the Grand Parkway entrance ramp; the southbound main lanes between the Grand Parkway exit ramp and Boudreaux Road will also be closed, according to HCTRA officials.
The southbound entrance ramp from Holderrieth Road will be closed as well as the northbound entrance ramp to the Tomball Tollway from Northpointe Boulevard.
Drivers can detour northbound on the Tomball Tollway by taking the frontage road at the Boudreaux Road exit and re-entering the tollway using the Grand Parkway entrance ramp. Southbound drivers can detour on the frontage road at the Grand Parkway exit ramp and can re-enter the tollway using the Northpointe entrance ramp.
