1. FM 2978 widening
    Phase 1 of the project, which will widen FM 2978 from two to four lanes from FM 1488 to south of Dry Creek, has been suspended until the second quarter of 2018 due to utility relocation, according to TxDOT. Phase 2, which began construction in January, will widen the roadway from two to four lanes south of Dry Creek to Hufsmith Conroe Road.

  2. FM 1488 overpass at FM 149
    While completion of the railroad overpass on FM 1488 has been delayed until the second quarter of 2018, according to TxDOT, two lanes of the overpass opened to drivers Feb. 26. The project allows drivers direct access across FM 149 and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and widens FM 1488 to four lanes with a center turn lane between Mill Creek and Community roads.

  3. Grand Pines Road creation
    Montgomery County Precinct 2 held a preconstruction meeting in February for building Grand Pines Road, a two-lane road connecting Nichols Sawmill and Sanders Cemetery roads north of FM 2920, Commissioner Charlie Riley said.

  4. Holderrieth Road extension
    Unitas Construction began construction in January to extend Holderrieth Road as a four-lane roadway between Hwy. 249 and Calvert Road, Harris County Precinct 4 officials said.
