HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball has named its new chief medical officer, according to a Feb. 26 news release.
What’s happening?
Richard Moore, M.D., will begin serving as the hospital’s new chief medical officer effective May 1, according to the news release. Moore has 28 years of emergency medicine experience and recently served as the emergency department medical director for Rio Grande Regional Hospital.
“I am thrilled to have Dr. Moore join our senior leadership team and look forward to the contributions he will make to help us continue to deliver innovative, patient-centered care for the communities we serve,” said Robert Marmerstein, CEO of HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball, via news release. “He will oversee our quality and patient safety agendas, and will help elevate our already class-leading quality program to the next level.”
Moore received his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and is in the process of getting his MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas, according to the news release.
