Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital’s emergency care clinic in Magnolia will open by the end of the first quarter of 2023, Serenity Glazer, the director of emergency services at Houston Methodist Willowbrook, said in a Jan. 4 interview.

The clinic, located in the Magnolia Landmark building off of FM 1488, is just under 12,000 square feet and will have six beds with the potential to expand, Glazer said.

“It will have full capabilities, which means like any ER, it’s going to have CT, X-ray, an on-site lab,” Glazer said. “All of our rooms are equipped like our [emergency care clinics] and [emergency departments] so any medical emergency that you’re having, we can take care of the patient there, and if necessary, we can send them on to advanced level care.”

Glazer said Houston Methodist Willowbrook already has a primary care clinic in the Magnolia Landmark building.

“Having that emergency care center below that makes sense for us,” Glazer said.

Glazer said the emergency care clinic will be open 24/7.

“We’re really excited to be in the area and to be opening up and serving that community,” Glazer said.

The hospital is also planning to double the size of its Tomball Primary Group clinic, according to Stefanie Peeler, the senior communications specialist for the hospital.
