During its Nov. 12 meeting, Magnolia City Council named Bleyl Engineering as the interim city engineer.

How we got here

Previous city engineer Tim Robertson left the city Oct. 31, City Administrator Chris Whittaker said in an email to Community Impact. Whittaker said the city's long-term plan is to hire a city engineer by January.

Bleyl Engineering will oversee the water moratorium until a new city engineer is hired, he said.

Whittaker also said the city has previously used engineering firms in this capacity before.
