How we got here
Discussions on plans to improve Matheson Park began in 2022, and the funds for the improvements were a part of the city's fiscal year 2022-23 budget, Community Impact previously reported.
Construction for the splashpad began Oct. 19, according to prior reporting.
What they're saying
"I just want to say how excited we are at the [Tomball Economic Development Corp.] to be able to partner with the city and other organizations to bring this type of project to Tomball," TEDC Executive Director Kelly Violette said. "Economic development is really about quality of life, and quality of life includes our parks, our recreation and all of our facilities. So we are excited to be able to help the community in this way, and let's get to splashing."
