Texas House Rep. Cecil Bell Jr., R-Magnolia, will be hosting two town hall meetings in the Magnolia area at the beginning of November, according to his office. The meetings will give the community the opportunity to hear about the recent legislative session, which ended Oct. 19, and newly drawn redistricting maps.

The town hall meetings will also include time for a Q&A session.

The first meeting will be held Nov. 4 at the Magnolia Community Building at 422 Melton St., Magnolia, from 6-7:30 p.m. The second town hall will be held Nov. 9 at the Magnolia ISD Event Center at 11659 FM 1488, Magnolia, from 6-7:30 p.m.

Bell will face a Republican primary challenge from Kelly McDonald, a former Magnolia ISD school board trustee, Community Impact Newspaper previously reported. Bell told Community Impact Newspaper he intends to run for re-election.
