There are several events set to take place this weekend in Tomball and Magnolia. Check out a few of them below. This list is not comprehensive.

Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library Genealogy Marathon

Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library is hosting a genealogy marathon—an all-day event that will feature speakers discussing topics, such as writing your family history and proving links between generations. Attendees will also be able to tour the library’s digitization station and the Chaparral genealogy collection. Light refreshments will be provided, and attendees are invited to bring their own lunch or visit the campus Luby’s cafeteria. Registration is required.

Tomball Art League fall show

The Tomball Art League presents its fall show and sale of student and adult artwork. This event is open to the public, and artwork can be submitted through Oct. 15.

Concert in the Country

Boots For Troops, an organization that provides custom care packages for deployed service members, is hosting its eighth annual concert fundraiser. Performing artists include Bri Bagwell, Southern Deposition, Chad Cooke Band, Scotty Alexander, Darryl Worley, Casey Chesnutt, David Joseph and Briana Adams. This kid-friendly event will also have vendors, food trucks, a cornhole tournament and a barbecue cookoff.

Tomball Methodist Church Fall Frenzy



Attendees can enjoy a gumbo cookoff, a fall carnival and a craft fair at Tomball Methodist Church’s fall frenzy. This event will also include a silent auction and food trucks. Tickets are needed to enjoy the carnival and gumbo cookoff.

Harris County Precinct 3 Fall Festival

Harris County Commissioner Tom Ramsey invites the public to come out to Precinct 3’s fall festival, which will feature a petting zoo, crafts and games, face painting, balloon art, food, and music.

Concordia Lutheran High School Cruisin’ Crusaders 5K Run/Walk

Attendees are invited to register for Concordia Lutheran High School’s annual Cruisin’ Crusaders 5K Run/Walk. The event will include music, games and local vendors.

Magnolia’s First Baptist Church Fall Fest

Texas Makers Market will host a fall festival in Magnolia that will include costume contests, fall photo opportunities, local vendors and food. This event is family- and pet-friendly.

District 2.4.9. Bar and Grill Bier Fest

Attendees at District 2.4.9 Bar and Grill’s Bier Fest will be able to enjoy live music, beer tastings and games.

St. Anne Catholic Community Fall Bazaar

St. Anne Catholic Community is hosting its largest annual community fundraising event to provide financial assistance to the church and school. This event will have food, drinks, games, crafts, a silent auction and a raffle.

Dia De Los Perros

At District 2.4.9 Bar & Grill’s Dia De Los Perros event, attendees can bring a photo or special treat to the Altar of Canine Love to remember their pets, dress their furry friends in costumes for a contest, get professional photos taken of their dogs and enjoy food. All dogs must be leashed.
