Sept. 4: Compete in cornhole

The Tomball Professional Firefighters Association Local 5249 is partnering with Paradigm Brewing to host a cornhole tournament. All proceeds go to local fire departments. There will be a DJ, food, a bounce house and drinks alongside the tournament. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Participants can register until Sept. 1. 1 p.m. $100. Sept. 10-11: Remember 9/11

The city of Tomball will host a 9/11 21st anniversary remembrance service by lighting two spot lights at The Depot to symbolize the Twin Towers on Sept. 10. Sept. 10: Go bird watching

Bring the family out to the 14th annual Kleb Woods Hummingbird Festival. A guided nature walk, tour of the Kleb House and blacksmith demonstrations will be available to guests throughout the day. Sept. 10: Catch a movie outdoors

Sept. 16-17: Support local agriculture students

The Magnolia ISD Livestock Show returns with local students showing hogs, lambs, goats, rabbits, turkeys, steers and heifers as well as a baked goods show throughout Friday and Saturday. Sept. 20: Sample food in Tomball

The Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce Women’s Committee presents a Taste of Tomball with local eateries serving up samples of entrees and desserts for attendees to taste. Proceeds from the event will support the chamber’s scholarship fund for community members looking to further their education. Sept. 24: Celebrate fall in Magnolia

Guests can also bring a can of corn, peas or sweet potatoes as a donation for Thanksgiving baskets to receive admission. Sept. 11: Observe 9/11

The Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park will host a 9/11 observance event that will begin at the moment the first attack occurred at the World Trade Center in 2001. The event honors the first responders who died on 9/11.
