The Greater Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce and the Montgomery County-based Voter Awareness Council will co-host two candidate forums April 20 and 21 for Magnolia ISD and Magnolia City Council races, respectively. Forums are being held ahead of the May 7 election, for which the early voting period begins April 25.

The forum April 20 will feature candidates for Magnolia ISD positions 1, 2 and 3 at the Magnolia Event Center, located at 11659 FM 1488, Magnolia. The event begins at 6:30 p.m.

According to a release from the Voter Awareness Council, candidates Dacia Owens, Jordan Miles, Irma Dunmire, Sonja Ebel, Sharon Craig, Debbie Crawford, Keith Grant and Gary Blizzard have been invited to participate in the forum.

The forum April 21 will be held at Magnolia City Hall, located at 18111 Buddy Riley Blvd., Magnolia, and include candidates for Magnolia City Council positions 4 and 5. The forum begins at 6:30 p.m.

Candidates Brenda Hoppe, Frank M. Parker III, Cathy Yowell and Jack L. Huitt Jr. have been invited to participate in the forum, according to a release from the Voter Awareness Council.
