Lori Klein Quinn stepped down in January from her Tomball City Council Position 5 seat to run for mayor in the May 7 election. The council member who is elected for Position 5 will fulfill the rest of Klein Quinn's term, which expires in 2023, Community Impact Newspaper previously reported.

The two candidates running for the seat are Randy Parr, who retired as fire chief last spring, and Matthew Martinez, according to candidate filing information from the city.

In addition to the mayoral race and Position 5, three candidates are running for Position 3, Community Impact Newspaper previously reported.

Early voting is April 25-29 and May 2-3 at City Hall, located at 401 Market St., Tomball. The general election is May 7 at City Hall.
