The names were submitted by MISD Assistant Superintendent Dr. Ben King and recommended by Superintendent Jason Bullock.

What else?

With the construction of new intermediate and junior high schools, MISD officials recommended a new zoning map and asked parents for feedback, as previously reported by Community Impact.

The district sent parents surveys in August and September asking for feedback on the rezoning, with respondents expressing concerns with proximity and transportation. The rezoning map will be brought to the board again in October with the recommendations made by district parents.
