The Tomball ISD District Zone Committee hosts an open public forum at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Staff Development Center, located at 1302 Keefer Road, Tomball. Residents can view the proposed boundaries for elementary and junior high campuses and suggest minor changes to the rezoning maps, district officials said previously.

The board of trustees holds a special meeting Nov. 11 to discuss naming the new schools, and the board is anticipated to consider approving the proposed boundaries during its Dec. 10 meeting.

The district zone committee met three times in October to discuss redrawing campus boundaries ahead of the opening of a new elementary school and a new junior high school under construction at Cypress Rosehill Road and the Grand Parkway.

Although elementary and junior high boundary changes are proposed, intermediate and high school boundaries will not change at this time, district officials said previously.

New elementary boundaries would take effect for the 2020-21 school year for the new school opening in August 2020, and junior high boundary changes would be implemented in the 2021-22 school year ahead of the junior high opening in August 2021, Community Impact Newspaper previously reported.
