Goodson’s Cafe, located along Hwy. 249 in Tomball, is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, owner Jimmy Fogarty confirmed.

The restaurant has been open since 1950 and was originally started by Ella Goodson, Fogarty said. Fogarty said he became the owner in 1985.

“Our team takes pride in being a prominent member of our community,” Fogarty said. “It takes a lot of heart and effort to make sure our history is carried on day to day. But the most important meal is your next meal with us.”

The restaurant serves a variety of dishes, including chicken fried steak, pork chops and blackened catfish, according to its website.
