The Sam Houston Trail Riders made their annual stop in Tomball on Feb. 21 during their 70-mile journey from Montgomery to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Hundreds of people awaited the riders as they galloped into the Tomball Depot Plaza.

This is the 69th year for the Sam Houston Trail Riders, which started in February 1955, according to the rodeo’s website. Following this visit in Tomball, the riders will camp at Spring Creek Park before continuing their journey to the rodeo, according to the riders’ daily schedule.
