Machine Gun Preacher fundraising event
Defenders Martial Arts Academy hosts Sam Childers, also known as "Machine Gun Preacher" from the movie of the same name, for an afternoon event. Childers, a pastor, rescued orphaned children set for enlistment into the Lord's Resistance Army as child soldiers. Childers is a recipient of the Mother Teresa International Award for Social Justice. The event features music by Curtis Rayvon, autographs and photo opportunities. Noon-2 p.m. Free (admission).
