As work on the Robinson Road realignment project begins, some road closures are expected in November in Oak Ridge North, which may impact travel times and routes, officials said.

What you need to know

Entergy Texas is moving and relocating power lines along Robinson Road on both sides of Hanna Road. As a result, city officials announced road closures are expected to begin the first week of November and last for several weeks.

The closures will reduce Robinson Road to one lane during the day. Detours will be set up around the city, and residents are encouraged to drive safely, officials said.

What’s next

Road closures are expected to continue as work on Robinson Road continues. The city approved a construction contract bid for the project during the Oct. 9 City Council meeting. Construction on the road is expected to begin by the first quarter of 2024, at which time further road closures and detours are expected.

The project will align Robinson Road across Hanna Road.
