Updated Jan. 16 at 12:20 p.m. In response to today’s winter weather that has hit southeast Texas, several roads in The Woodlands area have been partially and completely shut down due to icy conditions. The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory on Monday for the area effective from 3 a.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday, which has since been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning due to a wintry mix of sleet and snow. Here are a few area lane and road closures to be wary of when driving today:

11:50 a.m. update: Current road closures in Precinct 3: -Lake Robbins Drive from Anadarko to I-45 in both directions. -Woodlands Parkway bridge from Many Pines to Robinson Road. -Lake Woodlands bridge over Lake Woodlands is closed in both directions.

Currently, the only road closures in Precinct 3 are at Lake Robbins @ I-45, Woodlands Parkway bridge @ I45 and also Caraquet @ Imperial Oaks.

The Woodlands Express has likewise been affected by today’s weather.

Additionaly, several school districts have also cancelled classes today including Conroe, Magnolia and Tomball ISDs.

Due to impending inclement weather, Conroe ISD will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.
