Parts of I-45 N. will be closed this weekend.[/caption]

Parts of Hwy. 242 and I-45 N. will be closed in Montgomery County this weekend due to construction. Several lane closures are also planned for the Hardy Toll Road in northern Harris County.

The following lane closures have been scheduled, according to officials with the Texas Department of Transportation and the Harris County Toll Road Authority:

• Hwy. 242 will have one alternate lane closed eastbound and westbound from I-45 to FM 1488 in The Woodlands nightly from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. through the morning of Thursday, Oct. 27.

• I-45 N. will have two inside lanes closed northbound from Cypresswood Drive to Spring Cypress Road from 9 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13 to 5 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14.

• The Hardy Toll Road’s right lane will be closed northbound from North Hardy Plaza to Riley Fuzzel Road from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.


• The Hardy Toll Road’s alternating lanes will be closed northbound and southbound from North Hardy Plaza to the Grand Parkway from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 14.


• There will be a total closure of the Hardy Toll Road northbound and southbound from FM 1960 to I-45 N. from 4 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16 to 5 a.m., Monday, Oct. 17.

Scheduled closures are subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen events, according to TxDOT officials. A listing of all scheduled I-45 lane closures can be viewed online at www.houstontranstar.com and all scheduled Hardy Toll Road closures can be viewed online at www.hctra.org.
