1. Kuykendahl Road widening

Kuykendahl Road has been widened from two to four lanes between Indian Hill Road and Timarron Drive in The Woodlands. The Harris County Precinct 4 project was funded through bond referendum proceeds and was completed Aug. 17. Timeline: Feb. 17-Aug. 17 Cost: $1.2 million Funding sources: Harris County Precinct 4

2. Kuykendahl Road bridge

A dual bridge will be built along Kuykendahl Road over Spring Creek in an effort to mitigate traffic congestion between Montgomery and Harris counties. The bridge design was funded by The Woodlands Road Utility District No. 1, and bids were received June 30. WRUD is in the process of awarding the project to the successful low bidder, Texas Sterling Construction Company. 3. Riley Fuzzel Road widening

The project will widen Riley Fuzzel Road from West Hardy Road to west of the Hardy Toll Road from two to five lanes in Spring. It is in the design phase, and Harris County expects to send it out for bid in the 1st quarter of 2017. Timeline: TBA Cost: $2.8 million Funding sources: Harris County

4. I-45 HOV lanes

The I-45 high occupancy vehicle lane extension project will add one lane in each direction along I-45 from South Loop 336 in Conroe to FM 1960 in north Harris County. The project will be complete by late September, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. The agency has completed about 98 percent of the project and is installing final striping and signage. Timeline: October 2015-late September 2016 Cost: $2.6 million Funding sources: TxDOT

5. FM 2978 widening

The FM 2978 widening is a two-part, 6.5-mile widening project between Dry Creek and FM 1488 in Magnolia. The first section—from FM 1488 to south of Dry Creek—was delayed again until the 1st quarter of 2017 due to utility delays, according to TxDOT. The second section, from south of Dry Creek to Conroe Hufsmith Road, has also been delayed until the 1st quarter of 2017 for the same reason. 6. Gosling Road Segment 1 widening

The project between Spring Stuebner and Mossy Oaks roads was awarded in August. Improvements include widening the road to a five-lane section between Spring Stuebner and the Grand Parkway and a four-lane section between the Grand Parkway and Mossy Oaks. Timeline: Fall quarter 2016-spring 2017 Cost:  $8.2 million Funding sources: Harris County

7. Gosling Road widening segments 2 and 3

Segment 2 is a widening between Mossy Oaks and West Rayford roads, and segment 3 is between West Rayford Road and north of Creekside Forest Drive. Both segments, which include widening to four lanes, are in the design phase, which should be completed by end of 2016. Timeline: TBA Cost:  $17.2 million Funding sources: Harris County

8. Rayford Road improvements

Montgomery County Precinct 3 will construct an acceleration lane at the intersection of Rayford Road and I-45 that will allow motorists traveling west on Rayford Road to turn onto the I-45 northbound feeder road without stopping and merging onto the feeder mainlanes. Timeline: September-December Cost: $500,000 Funding sources: Montgomery County Precinct 3
