The Howard Hughes Corp. announced June 21 it began construction on a yet-to-be-named multifamily residence at Six Pines Drive and Timberloch Place in The Woodlands, which will bring 163 residences to a seven-story building on 1.67 acres of land at the site. The 179,338-square-foot complex will include one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments as well as street-level townhomes, with an average unit size of 1,100 square feet, according to the news release. It is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2020, the release states. The project is adjacent to several other Howard Hughes apartment buildings in the area—The Millennium Six Pines and The Millennium Waterway. The new project shares some architectural features with those properties, such as a tower element, according to the company. “We are excited to introduce the new multifamily development in the heart of The Woodlands Town Center, which provides a variety of living options including townhome residences along with distinctive amenities,” said Crystal Bledsoe, the national multifamily asset manager for The Howard Hughes Corp. “This new project is situated within walking distance to shopping, dining, retail, Class A office spaces and entertainment like the renowned The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.” Among the planned features included in the homes are:
  • quartz countertops;
  • stainless appliances;
  • walk-in closets;
  • washers and dryers in units; and
  • home automation technology.
Other amenities planned at the complex are:
  • a clubroom;
  • a fitness center;
  • outdoor cooking;
  • bike storage;
  • gated entry; and
  • coworking spaces.
The project is the sixth multifamily community by Howard Hughes in The Woodlands. Another project in progress locally is Two Lakes Edge in Hughes Landing, a 386-unit facility set to open in 2020.
